Preschool Programs

Early Learners

Our Early Learners start at age 18 months – age 3

We have a very comprehensive curriculum working to develop the children emotionally, socially, intellectually, and physically. We work on character traits, values, and learning to be a good friend.

In this class we actively potty train and work on self-help skills such as eating with utensils, drinking from cups, hand washing, and dressing

Curriculum at this age is teacher derived from years of experience. It is a well rounded curriculum with heavy emphasis on language and social skills

Children will be exposed to a variety of sensory learning pathways. Some activities are supplemented with sign language to bridge any communication differences.

They will learn colors, shapes, numbers, and object labels.

Learning is very hands on with our Early Learners. Every moment is a fun, teachable moment! Each week is a new exciting theme.

Included in your tuition your child will receive enrichment classes. Gym 2 X a week and Music Education 1 X a week. These are separate instructors and age appropriate curriculum in addition to regular classroom activities.

Children will go outside for 30 minutes in the morning and in the afternoon, weather permitting.

Preschool 1

For children ages 3 – 3 ½ – must be fully potty trained.

Maintains the same core learning objectives as our Early Learners but they are expanded upon.

Activities become longer – stretching their attention span.

More complex activities are added: tracing, cutting, and multiple step instructions.

Math will now include number recognition, place value, and sets.

Verbal skills will now promote phonetic awareness and letter recognition.

Writing skills begin to emerge through tracing and name writing

Character traits and values are explored in more depth.

Included in your tuition your child will receive enrichment classes. Computers, Spanish, and Gym 2 X a week and Music Education 1 X a week. These are separate instructors who use age appropriate curriculum.

Class time will be structured with group, individual, and free play times.

Children will go outside for 30 minutes in the morning and in the afternoon, weather permitting.

Preschool 2

For ages 3 ½ – 4

Our cumulative curriculum continues to expand in this class. We continue to target Math, Science, Art, Movement and Music, and Language Skills.

Children begin their first McGraw-Hill Curriculum. These are the precursors to the PISD curriculums.

McGraw-Hill Math Connects starts with a review of basic concepts and becomes more complex.
Sorting, patterning, 1:1 correspondence, sequencing, same and different, big and little, are just a few of the concepts.
This curriculum is designed to be done in a group setting with math manipulatives making it a very hands on interactive program

McGraw-Hill Little Treasures is a comprehensive curriculum that explores literacy in all environmental aspects.
They will learn to explore letters and words in print and their environment. They will be learning that letters have a specific sound and are more than just symbols, they combine to form words which have their own meaning
They will explore sounds all around them and begin to discriminate between similar sounds laying the foundation for reading and sounding out words.
They will begin learning proper capital and lower case formation of all letters.

Included in your tuition are the enrichment classes. Computers, Spanish, and Gym 2 X a week each and Music Education 1 X a week. These are separate instructors and age appropriate curriculum.

Class time will be structured with group time, individual time, as well as free play time.

Monthly changing dramatic play centers are incorporated to encourage fun and imagination.

Children will go outside for 30 minutes in the morning and in the afternoon, weather permitting.
