Oak Brook carefully selects staff from many applicants by using a two step interview process. References, FBI background checks, and fingerprinting are done prior to hiring. All teachers are required to have current CPR and First Aid certification. Teachers with less than 2 years of previous experience must complete a 24 hour pre-service training. All teachers are required to attend a minimum of 24 hours of additional training each year that is relevant to the age group they teach.
Monica Ivener - Director
Monica has her Texas State Director’s License and is married with two children. She has been working with children for over 20 years. She has worked in as a supervisor in a behavioral program for children with autism for many years. From there she taught preschool and Pre-K classes both in California and Texas, as well as ran her own licensed in-home child care for 3.5 years. Prior to becoming the Director in 2014 she was the Assistant Director at Oak Brook School for 5 years.
Tracie Riebschlager - Assistant Director
Tracie is married with 2 children. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in communication. She has been working in childcare since 2007 and has been at Oak Brook since 2010 in both our 3 and 4 year old programs. She joined our management team as the Office Administrator but is the Assistant Director since Dec 2015. She enjoys the best of both worlds in working in the office and getting to spend time in various classrooms every day.

My name is Adrianna but I go by A.J. I have been in childcare since 2012. I’m a mom of two beautiful children who are 2 & 5 and have been married for 6 years. I am currently getting ready to go back to school to pursue a degree in Early Childhood Education. I’m a very easy going, goofy person! I look forward to meeting you and watching each and every one of your children grow!

Ms. Melony - Little Tykes
Ms. Melony has been working with children for over 20 years. She began her career in child care as a Child Care Director in 1991. After a year and a half as director she found her true passion as a two year old teacher. For over 20 years she has been teaching Early Learners. She has been loving and nurturing our youngest children at Oak Brook School since 2002.

Ms. Rachelle - Early Learners
Ms. Rachelle has been in child care since 2015. She graduated from Wylie East High School in 2015. She has two little girls. She is currently engaged to her boyfriend of 5 years. Ms. Rachelle has wanted to be a teacher since 7th grade. She loves kids and loves trying to help them grow into bigger and better people. Who knows we could be teaching the future president! She is really excited to be a part of the Oak Brook team.
Ms. Audrey - Pre-School
My name is Audrey Tucker and I am so excited to be the lead teacher for the Preschool Penguins! I was born and raised in Texas (Dallas and Athens); I attended Tyler Junior College where I earned my Associate Degree in General Studies. After TJC, I moved to Mississippi where I later earned my Bachelor Degree in Biblical Studies (youth and children’s ministry) and met my wonderful husband. After five years of marriage, we have a smart and handsome two year old little boy named William. After almost a decade living in Mississippi, my family and I moved back to Texas for my husband’s job in early July of this year. We have been blessed to find such a wonderful school to mentor my son’s growth as well as a positive and uplifting work atmosphere for myself. I enjoy spending time with my family and the Mississippi State University Bulldogs (Go DAWGS!!!), swimming, Dr. Pepper and anything milk chocolate. I look forward to partnering with you to teach your whole child (academically, socially, and emotionally) and to help them on their way to becoming life-long learners.
Ms. Vera - Pre-K
While attending The University of the Pacific as a business major Ms. Vera found her true calling working with children. She has been teaching ever since! Ms. Vera has spent the last 25 years preparing kids for Kindergarten. She has been with us at Oak Brook since 2004.
Ms. Taylor - Pre-K
My name is Ms. Taylor; I work in the Pre-Kindergarten room with Ms. Vera. I have been working in childcare for almost 8 years and have worked with everything from infants to schoolers! I was born in Nashville, TN and raised here in Texas, so I enjoy country music! I don’t have any children, but hope to someday. I am excited to soon be getting married to my fiancé, Kenneth. I’m full of love and smiles and working with children makes me the happiest. I’m very excited to begin this learning journey with your child.

Ms. Keshia - Kindergarten Jumpstart
Ms. Keshia is currently a junior working towards her Psychology Degree. She has been teaching in childcare for over 15 years, dedicating her time to preparing 4 year olds for Kindergarten. She has been enthusiastically teaching our Kindergarten Jumpstart class at Oak Brook since 2005.
Ms. Candice - Kindergarten Jumpstart
Ms. Candice attended Alcorn State University and has her Bachelor of Science in Child Development. She has been working to educate and nurture children since 2009! Ms. Candice has been a big part of the school team; mentoring assistant teachers and helping our students grow to their full potential. She has worked with several age groups of children and we feel the Kinder Jumpstart students would benefit immensely to have Ms. Candice before they start Kindergarten!

Nathan Gee - After School Coordinator
Mr. Nathan has had the privilege of working with children for 22 years. He has held positions as a kindergarten assistant, preschool teacher, after school teacher, summer coordinator, and an office assistant at his previous child care facility. Watching students learn new skills, ideas, and being able to be a part of their schooling is a passion of his. Although he doesn’t yet have children of his own, Mr. Nathan refers to the children he works with as “his kids”.
Chef Karen - Chef
Ms. Karen has worked in the food/restaurant/retail industry for over 30 years. Before joining Oak Brook School, she worked on the Food Service side at a local college. Chef Karen has a vast experience preparing meals for a large group of people. She also is a pretty awesome pastry chef! Karen has experience in formal and special events catering which is great for when we have celebrations and festivities at the school.
Ms. Karen was awarded The President's Award while working for Marriott Hotels in recognition of outstanding service. Karen is just a high energy, super competent chef who is also a natural with children. We are so blessed to have her as part of our Oak Brook family!
