Oak Brook carefully selects staff from many applicants by using a two step interview process. References, FBI background checks, and fingerprinting are done prior to hiring. All teachers are required to have current CPR and First Aid certification. Teachers with less than 2 years of previous experience must complete a 24 hour pre-service training. All teachers are required to attend a minimum of 24 hours of additional training each year that is relevant to the age group they teach.
Tracie Riebschlager – Center Director
Tracie is married with 3 children. She has her Bachelor’s Degree in communication. She has been working in childcare since 2007 and has been at Oak Brook since 2010 in both our 3 and 4 year old programs. She joined our management team as the Office Administrator but is the Assistant Director since Dec 2015. She enjoys the best of both worlds in working in the office and getting to spend time in various classrooms every day.
Nathan Gee – Assistant Director
My name is Nathan Gee. I have had the privilege of working with children for over 20 years. Throughout my 20 plus years I have had the opportunity to work with several different age groups and now I am looking forward to expanding my experience learning about to office side of working with children. I have been here at Oak Brook for 4 first as the Afterschool Coordinator and now the Assistant Director. Watching students learn new skills, ideas, and being able to be a part of their schooling is a passion of mine. I have been married for 11 years and my wife and I are the proud parents of 5 cats. I consider myself a big kid at heart and enjoy building with Legos and all things Star Wars as well as many other hobbies. Although we don’t yet have any children of our own, I consider all of the children that I work with my own.
Amanda Solis – Office Manager
Hello my name is Amanda Solis and I am the office manager here at Oak Brook School. I am very pleased to be part of the Oak Brook team and school. Prior to me joining Oak Brook, I worked as an in-home childcare provider for almost 3 years. I really enjoy being around children and getting to see all the smiling faces everyday. I have two children of my own and have been married for 12 years now. On my down time i enjoy spending time with my family and going on family trips to the beach. I am looking forward to growing with Oak Brook School.
Ms. Melony – Little Tykes
My name is Melony Neal. My family consists of my husband Ricky Sr., my three children Corrissa, Rick Jr, and Brittany, and my first grandchild Aariah. I have been married for 43 years. I enjoy singing with my Mom and sister in a church gospel group. I also love to cook, collect candles, western items, angels, and to take pictures. I love to stay busy!
I have been in childcare for over 28 years and love what I do. I have been teaching toddlers for a long time, they give me lots of love and joy. It has been a blessing to be here at Oak Brook with them for the past 17 years. I look forward to being a role model for your children.
Ms. Veronica – Little Tykes
My name is Veronica Hudson. I moved from San Angelo, Texas to the Dallas Metroplex in June 2015. My mother and I really wanted to be closer to the rest of our family. I have three brothers and two sisters, I also have four nieces and nephews whom I enjoy spending time doing fun things with. I have been in childcare for over 10 years. I have always enjoyed working with children, I especially love to see them blossom. I love to read, watch movies and collect snow globes. I look forward to working with your child.
Ms. Katy – Early Learners
Hi! My name is Katy Williams Hairston or Mrs. Katy. I have 4 wonderful children and one amazing granddaughter. I came to Oak Brook with almost 10 years of experience in childcare. I have worked with infants all the way through Pre-K. This is what I was made to do. I believe that as early educators we are setting the foundation for a lifetime of learning and emotional well-being. I am very excited to share my knowledge and experience with your child and to learn new things from them as well. I look forward to meeting each of you and can’t wait to see what Oak Brook has in store for all of us.
Ms. Casandra – Early Learners
Hello parents and friends! My name is Casandra Sera. I have been with Oak Brook for almost a year. I was previously in Little Tykes and I am excited to begin a new journey with Early Learners! I have two nephews that inspired me to become a teacher, and I absolutely LOVE it. Outside of work I am very involved in multiple sports including volleyball, soccer and I love to ride my bike on trails around DFW. Before Oak Brook, I studied nursing and was even able to obtain my CNA certification in High School. Although not practicing medicine, I love nurturing and teaching the babies. I look forward to meeting each of you and am so thrilled to help your kids learn and grow!
Ms. Robin – Preschool
Hello Preschool parents! My name is Robin Fasulo, Ms. Robin, and I am so excited to be a part of the Oak Brook family. I have been married to my best friend for 16 years and we have three wonderful children; Stephen is 15, Lydia is 5, and Joseph is 2. When I am not playing with and teaching your little ones you can find me camping with my family or trying a new recipe.
I have lived in the Dallas area most of my life and love it! In 2002 I received my Associates in Arts Degree from Dallas County. I have been a preschool teacher for 7 years and am returning to teaching after homeschooling my oldest for 4 years.
I love the excitement and wonder that preschoolers have. It gives me a renewed appreciation for the world around us. I am very honored to be a part of the Oak Brook family and yours.
Ms. Paige – Preschool
Hi everyone!! My name is Paige Maginley. This is my first year at Oak Brook and I am so excited to get to know all of you. I have a bachelor’s degree in Speech Language Pathology, an 11 pound dog named Maisy and I love to go rock climbing. Working in Preschool has been a blast so far and I feel so lucky to get to work with your kids and help them as they learn, play and grow.
Ms. Vera – Pre-K
Hello Oak Brook families. My name is Vera Wagner. I have been a Pre-Kindergarten teacher at Oak Brook for 15 years. I have been teaching for over 20 years now with all age groups from infants to pre-teens. I have been married for 30 years and have 3 children myself, ranging from 28 years to 19 years old. I enjoy the challenge and joy of teaching young children.
Ms. Keshia – Kindergarten Jumpstart
Hello parents and students starting Kindergarten JumpStart!! My name is LaKeshia Lowe. I am the lead teacher for this wonderful class. I moved from Manassas, VA to the Dallas Metroplex about 15 years ago. I am very family oriented and have two boys, my oldest is 19 and my baby is 12. I have been at Oak Brook for 14 years. I am a fun and loving person and enjoy working with children. I look forward to working with your child and having an excellent year, including a lot of fun in our Kindergarten JumpStart class.
Ms. Christine – Kindergarten Jumpstart
Hey y’all! My name is Christine Clancy. I recently moved to Texas from Nashville, Tennessee. Originally, I am from Springfield, Vermont (the home of “The Simpsons”!). I graduated from Castleton University with my bachelor’s degree in elementary education and special education. I am passionate about working with children because they are our future. When I am not at work, I love spending time with my friends and family, traveling, skiing and doing things outside. I am very excited to be part of the Oak Brook family!
Erica Sheffield – Explorers Coordinator
Hello! My name is Erica Sheffield and I am the Explorers coordinator! To keep up with my students, I start every morning with a cup of coffee and maybe another one in the afternoon! I enjoy drawing and sharing my knowledge with the kids. Here at Oak Brook, our children learn through experience and discovery, so my goal is to be able to make learning fun and exciting for my students. As an educator, I believe that every child can be successful if there is a teacher who believes in them! I look forward to getting to know the students and allowing them to explore their own creativity!
Chef Karen – Chef
Ms. Karen has worked in the food/restaurant/retail industry for over 30 years. Before joining Oak Brook School, she worked on the Food Service side at a local college. Chef Karen has a vast experience preparing meals for a large group of people. She also is a pretty awesome pastry chef! Karen has experience in formal and special events catering which is great for when we have celebrations and festivities at the school.
Ms. Karen was awarded The President’s Award while working for Marriott Hotels in recognition of outstanding service. Karen is just a high energy, super competent chef who is also a natural with children. We are so blessed to have her as part of our Oak Brook family!
