Marcus Parker – Assistant Director
Hello Oak Brook Families! My name is Marcus and I am the assistant director. I was born and raised in Plano! I attended University of North Texas and received my Bachelors of Applied Arts and Sciences degree with a focus in Business management and Psychology. I began my career in childcare in 2008 when I started working for the Plano ISD PASAR program, I quickly moved up in management with them and found my true passion working with children and being able to lead a team.
I started working at Oak Brook during the Summer in 2009 and loved the family atmosphere that OBS has! I have always returned to Oak Brook every summer since 2009! In 2016 I made the hard decision to step away from childcare and take a leap of faith in opening my own business. I owned and operated three smoothie businesses for four years. I decided it was time to return to my true passion which is childcare.
I received my Directors Credentials for the State of Texas in June 2020. As the Assistant Director here at Oak Brook School, I am confident that my love for childcare and my passion for leading a team will set me up for success in this new role. I am excited for a great school year and so glad to be a part of the OBS family full time!
Amanda Solis – Office Manager
Hi Oak Brook School Families! My name is Amanda and I am the office manager here at OBS. I am a mom of two beautiful girls. We have 3 pets at home as well named Max, Belle, and Toby! I was also born and raised here in the lovely state of Texas.

I have learned so much during the time I had the in-home childcare. I enjoyed very much not only teaching each child that came into our care, but also gaining the experience of how to run a small business.
My goal here at OBS is to ensure each child is being cared for in a fun, but safe environment. I plan on growing with Oak Brook School. I am currently in the process of obtaining my associates in Management, eventually I’d like to also gain my Director’s Certification.

Hello to all the Oak Brook Families! I am so excited to be your child’s new teacher. I was born in Jacksonville, Arkansas and moved to Texas when I was just two years old. As a young adult, this is my first-year teaching and I’m so excited to gain the experience! Before teaching, I would baby sit children between the age of 1 to 9 years old for a total of five years. I participated in volunteer opportunities that put me in a teaching/authoritative environment.
