Oak Brook carefully selects staff from many applicants by using a two step interview process. References, FBI background checks, and fingerprinting are done prior to hiring. All teachers are required to have current CPR and First Aid certification. Teachers with less than 2 years of previous experience must complete a 24 hour pre-service training. All teachers are required to attend a minimum of 30 hours of additional training each year that is relevant to the age group they teach.
Christine Klimezky – Director
My name is Christine Klimezky. I am so excited to be part of the Oak Brook School as the Director. Some of you may know me from when I had the privilege of teaching in the preschool room when I first joined Oak Brook Family back in August of 2017.
I grew up in a three generation Navy family which allowed me to see the world and live in some amazing places. I spent my high school and college years in Florida where I met my husband. I received my Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science and Geography with a minor in Education at Florida State University where my husband also attended. We moved here 10 years ago. We have two daughters, a 10-year-old and 8-year-old, and a 4-year-old son. As a family we love to be outdoors, enjoy going on road trips and exploring and learning about new places.
I started my child care career when I was a junior at Florida State University. I volunteered in my sister’s middle school classroom and spent so much time assisting and subbing that I ending up being offered a permanent position. This is where I found out how much I truly enjoy the nurturing and guiding of children’s minds. I have been surrounded by children for almost 20 years now. Some of my favorite times with children are watching them explore in nature, seeing them begin to build friendships with each other, and marveling at their own creations.
Amanda Orr – Office Manager
Hi! I am Ms. Amanda, I have one daughter, a grand-cat and a turtle. I endeavor to be an eternal student in that I am always learning and working to improve myself. I have worked in the medical field and in early learning centers since the age of 17. I initially attended Arizona State University as a Chemistry Major and then continued my education at National American University in Medical Office Administration and Medical Billing and Coding. My hobbies include painting, crafting and continuing my education. I look forward to applying my knowledge and skills combining child development and office administration in my position here at Oak Brook School. I promise to give my all to our teachers and families!! I am so excited to be here!!
