This program is for children around 4.5 – 5 years old. Our Kindergarten Jumpstart program is the same curriculum used by several local ISDs in their Kindergarten class. Our goal in using this advanced curriculum is to assure that your child is ready and successful in Kindergarten. We also want to foster a sense of independence and a “Can Do” attitude. We are always pushing them to stretch and grow and to improve and master new concepts. Valuable life skills such as Responsibility, Honesty, and the ability to Share and Cooperate with others will be continued to be emphasized upon.

The Kindergarten Jumpstart program at Oak Brook School will be supported by Harcourt curriculum in: Language Arts, Math, Writing, Science and Social Studies. All curriculum will be hands on as well as through digital technology via our smart board technology. This curriculum is built for the digital age; playful and effective programs integrate key kindergarten learning objectives into fun, hands-on activities. Their programs increase each student’s sense of independence, self-reliance, and self-confidence so they are ready for first grade.

Our children will receive 2 progress reports through the school year to keep you informed on academic progress. One in the fall and another in the spring.
